Editorial Policy & Fact-Checking Standards
MoveKH publishes verified, first-hand guides for expatriates, remote workers, and long-stay travelers in Cambodia. Every fee, ministry rule, and utility tariff is cross-checked against official Cambodian government sources and on-the-ground verification before publication.
How We Check Facts
Cambodia regulations change frequently. Our editorial team verifies every guide using a strict three-tier standard:
- Primary Government Sources: Visa classes, extensions, work permits, and tax rules are verified against official publications from the General Department of Immigration (GDI), Ministry of Interior (MOI), Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT), General Department of Taxation (GDT), and National Bank of Cambodia (NBC).
- On-the-Ground Price Checks: Rents, EDC electricity tariffs ($0.18–$0.25/kWh), clinic consultation fees, ferry schedules, and banking requirements are checked directly with providers in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Kampot, and the islands.
- Dated Review Cycles: Every guide displays a visible Verified date in the article header. When a ministry decree or tariff changes, we update the guide and advance the verification date only after re-confirming the facts.
